1 injured after shooting at Popeyes on Hwy 280 in Phenix City
PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - The Phenix City Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Popeyes on Highway 280 in Phenix City.
On June 4, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the Popeye’s Chicken at 3540 US Hwy 280 in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers made contact with 32-year-old Quataruius Smith suffering from a gunshot wound.
Smith was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Omega Fuller. Officials say Fuller fled the scene on foot before officers arrived on scene.
The two men were arguing in the parking lot just before shots were fired.
